However, instead of placing blame, we must come together and help those who were most affected; the people and businesses that thrive amongst the lifestyle of the coast.  Many have lost jobs or are suffering from declining business because of the lack of tourism that is usually booming during this time of the year. These people depend on the warm summer months, and their entire livelihood has been taken from them. 

Since there is a decrease in earnings for those along the Gulf, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to provide food for their families, and many are relying on their local food banks for this necessity.

In order to raise funds for these food banks, I am creating a cookbook! I will send all proceeds directly to food banks in the Gulf area, and the book will be filled with favorite recipes of my friends and family. 

The cookbook will be entitled "Meals Fit For a Queen" and will include recipes for appetizers, side dishes, main courses, and desserts, along with much more! It will be published during the first few weeks of July. I am very excited about this endeavor!
